GlassWorks

Lampwork, the art of Glass Bead Making, involves heating glass rods over an open flame then winding

the glass onto a steel rod that has been coated in a graphite solution, then various colours may be

added and manipulated into patterns and shapes... I usually describe this as painting with glass... the

beads are then placed in a kiln and heated to 550 degrees to strengthen the glass.

Considered miniature works of art some of these Lampwork beads have up to 25 layers of glass, feature Cubic Zirconia and take an hour and a half working over the flame!

Each large Floral Bead is sold with an individual name tag.
